Steven F. Leichter is a veteran lawyer with experience in business related matters, personal injury and general civil litigation. Prior to his legal career, he spent over 20 years as Vice President and then President of a manufacturing, distribution and foreign trade company. Because of that experience, business litigation, creditor’s rights, and transactional matters have been his preferred areas of practice.
Mr. Leichter received his Juris Doctor degree with scholastic honors from Western State University, College of Law in Fullerton, California, graduating in the top 20% of his class. He was twice awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence and was selected to participate in the publication of the University’s Law Review. In his final year, Mr. Leichter served as the Administrative Editor of that academic journal.
He was admitted to practice in California in 1995 and is licensed to practice
before all California State Courts and the United States District Court, Central District of California.
Mr. Leichter has been an associate with commercial litigation and personal injury firms as well as running a solo practice for several years.
Mr. Leichter is also licensed in the Canadian province of British Columbia having been called to the British Columbia Bar in 2014. For a number of years he was an associate with a busy, well respected, general litigation firm there focusing his practice mainly on commercial litigation and family law. Mr. Leichter has appeared in the British Columbia Provincial and Supreme Courts as well as the B.C. Court of Appeal.
